Fire Science – Triangle of Fire - Identifies the 3 items required to create fire and the importance of the triangle in Preventing and Extinguishing Fire.

Fire Protection and Prevention

1. Fire Safety Management
Discusses what to do in case of fire, how this relates to Emergency Plans and Fire Evacuation at Airports, Industries, Factories, Hospitals and Commercial Establishments.

2. Fire Prevention
Identifies the common fire hazards and typical control measures.

3. Fire Protection
Introduces the Concept of means of Escape, Fire Alarms, Sprinklers, Hydrants, Emergency lighting and signage.
Fire extinguishers theory and practicals - Identifies the types of fire extinguishers in use. Discusses which extinguisher to use for certain fire types.
Details the action to be taken where defects are noted or extinguishers are used.

Practicals

Practicals :
Demonstration of DCP, Foam , Water and Carbon-dioxide extinguishers on live fires. Demonstration of Fixed Fire Fighting Systems - Hydrant system, Foam System,DCP System, Water Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System.
Handling Charged fire hose by each participant.

- SCBA Set
Participants wear a SCBA and walk through a smoke chamber. Escape through smoke chamber without BA set.

- Fire evacuation methods
Identifies common methods of establishing whether a building is fully evacuated or not, and how to carry and rescue unconscious persons. We award a certification for participation in the above training based upon the enthusiastic involvement during the day.
